Human scholars have theorized the Yuan-ti are a debased human race who engaged in profane snake rituals to transform themselves into the Yuan-ti.

The wheel turns and Acheron and Python fell to the troops and wizardry of the Dark Elves. The realms of the Yuan-ti were conquered and the Yuan-ti were forced to hide from the Dark Elves in the deep places of the Underdark Locations.
