The Garden of Dead Gods

At the top of a hill, a silent, crumbling castle covered in hanging vines, long forgotten flower beds, and spiny plants overlooks a scarred landscape surrounded by glimmering sea. This grand keep was once known as Castle Crunin, and it last had sentient occupants when the last of the king’s guard took shelter from the Overgod Oeyr. In his severely weakened state, he tore the roof from the battle worn castle, to be met with the only thing that could kill him, his daughter. Aya absorbed all arcane magic in Tamlron all at once and focused it into her father, unmaking both of them in an instant. This was known as the Shattering, and Crunin its epicenter. The scars of the blast split the continent in two. Castle Crunin now stands as a monument to all: even gods can die.
