Torvalen Gyre

The Torvalen Gyre is a circulating sea current that moves clockwise along the perimeter of the Toravalen Sea. The current flows in a band 300 kilometers wide on average. With this current is a steady wind used by ships to travel rapidly and reliably clockwise along the inner edge of Torvalen's continents. The wind and current's value to trade has earned it the title 'the Golden Wheel'.

This gyre carries warm, moist air and warm water up from the south in western Torvalen and cold, oxygen rich water down from north in the east.
