Sir Io
Heroes are both a part of fantasy and real life.
And all have earned their places in history both imagined and true.
But none can match Sir Io.
A great warrior from an unknown age.
A warrior clad in shining armor untouched by blemish and shadow.
A master of sword, axe and other dangerous weapons, Sir Io was first noted to have been seen by the public in the capital of Kitsune County, the city of Home.
A great creature born of a race never before seen on Rethium, Sir Io claimed to have been sent from the heavenly pantheon of the gods on a mission for his family. He, along with his daughter and her husband as well as others passed through the city of Home, the capital of Kitsune County, somewhere amongst the years of the Second Age of Rethium's long history. They were on a mission to find his granddaughter who had been banished from the heavens following her death in a deadly and catastrophic battle against another angel on the verge of the heavens themselves.
It was during this first visit that he gave the name which would become his title throughout history. Unwilling to reveal his true name and the nature of his visit as well as the extent of his angelic powers, called himself only Sir Io to those who asked for his name and the reason behind his visit.
He, in actuality, was a warrior from another universe beyond the one in which Tarris Six existed, and was one of the last of his own race at the time of his rebirth as an angel following his own battle in the mortal realm against the angel which protected the universe into which he had travelled. He had gone by many names in his time alive; Philan Ryaard, Darth Cryos, even the great and powerful Widower, a warmongering demon who had sought to take over the Prime Universe, that which held the Sacred Timeline to which all other universes and timelines were tied. He had come from one universe and had travelled into the Prime Universe, starting a third world war that saw the turn of history and the reforming of the Prime Universe' Earth. After this war, he was reborn as an angelic being, and was dubbed Iaoth, the Angel of Death.
He was survived by his daughter Yreva and her husband Ryan, from Cryos' universe and the Prime Universe respectively, and their daughter Egglantine, his granddaughter. She, born with extraordinary power that had been inherited from her mother and her grandfather, took part in many great events that took place in the Prime Universe, but hers is another story entirely.
Sir Io and his band of family and friends travelled many miles across Rethium in search of Egglantine, until their eventual arrival in the country of Yesmos, where in the great city of Luxor they found their beloved Egglantine. Happiest of all to see her was her betrothed Tyler, her highschool sweetheart from the Prime Universe before it's fall at the end of time. Egglantine, like her mother and grandfather before her was not human but in fact an Adele from Cryos' universe, and was one of only two of the race living in the Prime Universe during her lifetime.
Written down in history after their arrival in Luxor was the event that changed the course of the city's own history. Known as the One Day War and involving the forces of the Pharaoh's own army as well as Sir Io and his band, this war saw the devastation of the city and the army, and the eventual surrender by the Pharaoh himself on behalf of his people. This event was believed to be the last time that Sir Io and his band were ever seen alive in Rethium and on the planet of Tarris Six. From this time on, they returned to Paradise and were never seen by any mortal again. Rethium eventually passed from history, and their names forgotten. But forever and after, Sir Io and his band lived on.
He was a large being. Towering nearly seven feet tall and with strength beyond even the gladiators of the Luxorian arenas, he wielded an axe filled with godly abilities and unspeakable power, and a vengeance for his lost family member that was as unquenchable as the fires of hell. A religious zealot by all means and denying all gods but his own - known only as The Master by his angels and other worshipping hosts - he was unstoppable in all pursuits and halted at nothing to remove every obstacle from his path in search of his beloved granddaughter.
