The Admins.
The greatest technological mystery in the galaxy.
The Admins are a race of robotic beings that are more machine than man. They are made up of thousands of intricate parts of metal and other pieces and parts, and are known to have no biological components in their bodies whatsoever. They are a very smart and capable race however, and are known to be one of the smartest and most technologically advanced races in the known galaxy.
The Admins originated from a star system located somewhere in deep space, although their exact origins are unknown and still widely debated to this day by historians and galactic explorers alike, who all do their part in searching for the origins of this widespread and unnaturally influential mechanical race whose presence feels almost omnipotent in the eyes of the rest of the galaxy, as these beings have been seen by few and yet recorded in many places within very short time periods, always coinciding with an important historical event, whether it be the election of an important political figure, the beginning or end of a conflict, the merger of a company or even the discovery and creation of the newest advanced technology. They are to this day still the most mysterious race in the galaxy, and as they do not have a known method of speaking with humans or other humanoid races, they cannot be wholly interacted with.
The Admins are thought, however, to have originated in the Imaanal Region of known space, which is located to the far southeast of the explored galaxy, with it's nearest neighbors, the Braika and Olgan Regions - the latter of which is the largest empirical state in the galaxy - located to the west and north respectively. 
They are a mechanical race, appearing humanoid in features and stature, but they are not living in the same way as humans and other similar races. The Admins are comprised of vast networks of pipes, gears, cogs, pumps, compressors, springs, sockets and other mechanical joint systems that allow them to function, and they are also in possession of a 'heart', which takes the form of an internal combustion engine that lies at the center of their construct, which operates off of the air itself, creating the heat or cold into an endless energy source, otherwise they are believed to be the first ever generated perpetual motion machines, seemingly able to move on their own with no fully established consciousness to speak of. They do not have a spoken language, instead preferring to speak between themselves with an unknown signal code that basic lifeforms are incapable of hearing and understanding. They do however have a basic understanding of many aspects of life, such as the goals of trade and the economy, exploration and the study of races, space and the rest of the known world, even literary and other studies amongst other things. 
The Admins are thought to have been constructed by an unknown race of omnipotent and omniscient beings called The Others, who are believed to be great architects and political figures whose presence in the galaxy was crucial in creating the first true empires and foundations of rulership across the galaxy. The Others had existed and long-since disappeared before recorded history, possibly millions of years before, meaning that The Admins are the oldest race in the galaxy, despite not being a biological race created by evolution and instead by technology. The Others had found their roots in the galaxy long before other races had evolved, but an unknown cataclysm had caused the Others to flee the galaxy and therefore known space, although they took the time to mass-manufacture the Admin race in the billions - possibly even the trillions - before leaving them in the galaxy and disappearing forever. 
The Admins are known to dress in a Victorian style of attire. They can commonly be seen wearing coats, top hats, vests, collars and other typical fashion items of the era, and have even been seen wearing spectacles or glasses despite the lack of natural eyes and the need for corrective lenses. Their eyes are essentially cameras, with the ability to correct themselves and to view things at almost unnatural distances. They are also seen with canes and walking sticks, and even carry pocketwatches and other pieces of jewelry and expensive items around with them. Every member of the race is known to wear a monocle on their face which grants them access to the Allnet, the largest collective knowledge center in the galaxy but reserved only to members of the Admin race. The device itself is known as the Allcom, and access into the Allnet is reserved only for the Admins exclusively, with other beings attempting to gain access into it being denied this inclusion into the hidden secrets of the Admins and their creators, long since vanished from the vast expansive regions of known space. 
The Admins stand tallest at between seven to eight feet tall, always watching the races around them going about their daily lives with seemingly no regard to the Admins themselves. This mechanical race can be found far and wide across their home region and others, often in trade stations, common space stations, research vessels, passenger ships, even flagship stations and other installations across the galaxy. 
They are a peaceful race, and have not been known to engage in war between other races at any point in history, and despite existing alongside other regions which did suffer through war at some point or another, The Admins were never involved in those wars by any extent. Their race has always been more concerned with their own growth and continued existence, and never seeks to truly involve themselves with any other major races unless the need to do so.
