The Greater Orc

Twenty-two races.
Each with their own unique appearance, and each with qualities and features that will forever define them as the only race of their kind on the planet.
And yet despite this, even members of the same race believe that, due to one trait or another, they are greater than all the rest of their own kind.
An example of this divide lies with the race of the Orcs.
Despite the fact that they appear similar in stature, size and the color of their skin - either a misty, dirty grey or a forested, settled green - the Orcs still find the time and energy to consider themselves that much different than one another. There live in Athad the group known as The Greater Orc or simply, to other races, "The Great Fog". These Orcs are brutish, violent, filthy and do not care for the world around them or even their fellow Orc by any means. They fight one another constantly - sometimes to the point of death - and are always loud, messy and causing general distaste amongst those who manage to cross them. They live a chaotic lifestyle all their lives, and worship the gods of Death, Insanity and War and Battle, honoring them in war and brawls and other violent acts which are all too common in their lifestyle. They wear rags instead of covering clothes and often cover their bodies in blood, tattoos and similar markings to proclaim their faith to the gods, and do not seem to care much for personal hygiene either.
They commonly live in vast, deep, underground cave systems that are rife with carcasses, the smells of bodily fluids and odors, weapons discarded and thrown about without care, and live almost happily alongside the other pests such as rats, mice, roaches and even the Decapedes and Octopedes that burrow underground for their own homes amongst the caves and caverns that stretch for miles under the surface. They talk in deep, grunting voices to one another when speaking and are not fluent in many dialects that would typically allow them to communicate with other races. To other races, the seemingly "Greater Orcs" are primitive, hostile, rude and are to be avoided and discouraged at all times, and it is not recommended to fight one singlehandedly unless the proper weapons and armor are brought to the exchange. The reason for this behavior is rumored to be connected to the mind and soul of the God of Hatred and Revenge, Odis; He was constantly fueled by hatred, jealousy and darkness after being banished from the heavens for his actions when a fight broke out in the pantheon concerning the evolution and creative processes behind some of the newborn races that were brought into the world.
Overcome with these emotions after going into hiding, it is believed that his hatred and emotions had manifested into the world around him, birthing from muck and mire the first Orcs, which were nearly identical to the reflected emotions of the bullied and banished god. These Orcs are said to take their lifeforce from these negative emotions, refusing to die for as long as they can and living off of the pure darkness that resides within them. One can say that the blood that runs through their veins is the same fire that rages from within Odis' own heart.
One of the most notable physical traits is the pale grey to pale white color of their skin and the blood-red color of their eyes. They also boast extremely large fangs that protrude from their mouths, almost painfully so which makes eating and speaking harder for the Greater Orcs. This same feature is tied to their tendency to speak very roughly and very gutturally and unevenly, and also is in part why their hygiene is so minimal.
When a supposed Greater Orc encounters a supposed Lesser Orc - also known as the Common Orc and who are members of the race which have embraced light, peace and brotherhood with the other races - fights are known to break out and tensions can easily rise. The Greater Orcs believe that the Lesser are a corruption of the race, and that with all means necessary they must be brought back to the darkness to further the return of Odis and his brother Pitos, who the Greater Orcs believe have earned the right and privilege to rule the world as their own. The Greater Orc is also acclimated to the ravaged and dark lands of Athad, and feel uncomfortable when travelling in environments that are not akin to their homeland. Thus, they can be that much more easily thrown into a bad temper as the differences in the air alone can cause high tension and extreme lows in their emotions.  They, like their homeland and the aspects of it, are not to be tread upon lightly, and at a moment's notice they can become almost lethally dangerous and are - despite their size - extremely quick on their feet and with their massive weapons. Then of course, on the opposite side, are the Common Orcs.
The Common Orcs are that much different due to the fact that they respect the gods and nature far more than the Greater Orcs do, as they feel the need to help keep the peace and to maintain dignity, love and respect for the land and their fellow man. They value all aspects of life and stand as polar opposites to the Greater Orcs by every means, and will never allow the Greater Orcs to tarnish the lifestyle and purity that the Common Orcs and other races have worked so hard to maintain.
