Worthy

Olgath is a land of mystery.
It is also a land of legend.
In the early centuries of the world, a great line of dynasties lived and fought on this gold-gilded and God-given continent upon the surface of Tarris Six, and for hundreds of years they fought one another to the brink of extinction until their warriors and citizens and rulers had either fallen in battle or had simply faded from history.
But one stands out amongst all.
  The Loon Dynasty.
Ruling from approximately three-hundred years before the Pantheonic Rise (The event which is named such for the rise of Hosios-Dyn and his following deities into the heavens following thousands of years of life in the mortal world) to around the three-fifties, the Loon Dynasty was founded when Krin Lakriet led his armies against the former Oos Dynasty in their final battle which was located in the city of Loon, which has since held it's name throughout history. This final push saw the penultimate victory of Krin Lakriet against the dynasty after he slew the Oos Dynasty's ruler, Seth Oos in the palace at the center of Loon. The Loon Dynasty is believed to have been the origin of many modern-day amenities such as silk, paper, fireworks, several types of farming tools, several known crops, and the modern-day method of charting the night sky for means of navigation.
But they are known for one other thing.
The earned and honorary title of Worthy, which is a title earned by mastery of crafts and which cannot be bought.
It is hard work and proficiency that earns one this title.
To be called Worthy is an honor in and of itself, but it does not come without trial and tribulations. It is a title sought by many and earned by very few in their lifetimes, and is the stuff of which the most able of the races of man and otherwise can sometimes only dream of achieving for themselves.
There are many things that can call one Worthy.
To the legacy of the Loon Dynasty, the title was earned especially within the realms of combat. From a very young age, children both male and female of any race - the few that were known to exist in Olgath at the time at least - were trained in the art of the sword, the dagger, the pole and even in the arts of craft, meditation and survival as well as strategy, although to their credit the children could in fact choose which crafts they wished to become talented in through the coming years of their lives. To be Worthy, one must selflessly devote their entire life into adulthood to the crafts and fields they chose as children, and must show knowledge of them beyond the years or equivalent to those of the master which taught them in their youth. It is not an easy task, and out of thousands who have sought for it and have lived their lives to achieve it, only a few hundred are known to exist in the modern age, who are descendants of original Worthy or are the descendants of students of the Worthy or are in fact students of modern Worthy themselves who are further descended from others.
The legacy of the Worthy is akin to the Samurai of ancient Japan, and the Worthy have also been known to comprise the majority of the guard of many emperors and empresses throughout the many dynasties and empires of the continent of Olgath. The most recent dynasty within Olgath is called the Een Dynasty, and is named after the founder of said Dynasty, Sayr Een.
But the Loon Dynasty, for it's contributions to modern society and for it's grand and legendary title of Worthy, will forever be remembered in history by it's descendants and for it's historic men and women who held the great title of Worthy.
One of the most legendary members of this great number was the great and yet humble Sir Lonsoonzz, who was the son of Dertor Lonsoonzz and Pihle Lonsoonzz, who were aged and poor peasants in Olgath during the Moon Dynasty, which followed the Oon Dynasty which itself followed the Oos Dynasty in the timeline of history. He is renowned as one of the most able swordsmen in history, and is near the top of the list of the most legendary navigators throughout all of time.
