Retough

Retough is a land of clashing cultures and uncertain times. It seems as though the borders of countries are ever changing, the people are restless with the dawn of uncertain change, and rulers' hearts are filled with unease. Nations vie for control of Retough while the poor and working people of the land pray their town isn't the next to experience the horrors of war.   Despite relative peace in recent years, Retough is a land of readied spears and paranoid rest. Kings sleep with one eye open. Bandits roam freely while armies are kept at bay in the event of an incursion from outside forces. With so much attention paid to foreign threats, the home front dwindles.   With a new threat on the horizon, the leaders of Retough must put aside differences and let go of longstanding grudges to prepare. But after so long of neighbor against neighbor, can these sovereign nations really rely on one another to hold the line?
