Bellerind

Bellerind, the City of Bells, lies in a valley between two great mountains, Lyre and Lor. It gets the title "the City of Bells" because of the bell towers on the walls around the edge of the city. These bells, which are enchanted, act as a magical barrier that can protect the city from invaders. Although only the bells of the bell towers are enchanted, many citizens of Bellerind have taken to putting smaller bells around the city, from small chimes in entrance ways, to the hundreds of little bells stringed up above the city market.   The population is mostly human, with very few fey living within the city. Bellerind is in a very strategically safe position, and it is well protected from outsiders. It started out as a few small villages around the valley, growing and growing more and more in population, until it formed the fully fledged city of Bellerind.

Campa

Many people in Bellerind worship Campa as the goddess of bells and the bringer of wealth. She is often worshipped by the merchants of Merka, for her title as the bringer of wealth. Campa is also associated with protection, like the bells that protect the city. Many shops and houses put a bell with the symbol of Campa near the door as a way to protect their homes. In High Hemnestra, artist often depict Campa as a woman dressed in layers of black or turquoise cloth with hundreds of tiny bells attached to the many layers of her dress.   During the end of a harvest season, many people have a festival in honor of Campa. People roam the streets ringing bells, and playing music, as a way to thank her for the bountiful harvest.
The different villages that were once Bellerind, forms its districts, with the leader of each of the districts forming a council that rules the city.   In southernmost part of this city lies Eredy, a district mostly known for its farms and commerce. Right beside it a Merka, which is also known mostly for trade and commerce, the Ringing Market is also here. In the east near the mountain Lore, is the district with the same name, known mostly for its mining, woodwork and metalwork. In the west are two districts, name Southern and Northern Lyre. In the center of the city is High Hemnestra, which sits on a hill between the two mountains. This place serves as the center of art and entertainment, and this is also where the council resides.
