Ghost Coral
White mist flows off of bleached pieces of coral, and it's said that those who listen to it here the sound of the ocean from ages past, when leviathans still roamed the primordial seas. Back then, the great goddess of the oceans, Lalani, ruled the world, but now the only fragments of her reign are the pieces of ghost coral and the few Merfolk that still roam the seas. These ancient relics harken back to a time when the merfolk had kingdoms, with great castles made of living coral. These castles were once covered in many different vibrant colors, but now the only pieces of them left are a ghostly white.
Although the goddess Lalani has not been seen for millenia, many still believe that she is calling out to her children the merfolk, and if you put your ear against the coral, you might just hear it.
