Continent of Altara

• Welcome to Altara. It is the year 312 PF, or Post Founding. A continent of beauty and horrors. It has seen times of prosperity and times of tribulation. A land diverse in its people and its landmarks. From the White Wastelands in the north, a cold and desolate area devoid of life. Claimed by a great clan of Dwarves, none dare travel there without serious consideration. We then head east to the Sapphire Mountains. A place that has become magically cursed from past deeds, making it nearly uninhabitable for but a few. It lies as the home for the intelligent Drow society, a Kingdom of elves pushing the limits of what was thought possible. Or, we can look south to the Gold Hued Peninsula. An area rich in resources, as well as war and greed. Dominated by two divided human nations at war with eachother, but who also make up the Alcor Union. Formed to prevent the two kingdoms from a larger threat in the past.
