Bethiah Elizabeth Finley- Rogers (a.k.a. Beth)

Bethiah, or Beth, grew up in Philadelphia. She was raised by her father, who was a lawyer in the city, as her mother died shortly after Bethiah was born. She grew up a good friend of Levi Finley, who she eventually married and moved to Boston with. She is quite good in matters of business and finance, and assists Levi in the running of his shop while he focuses on financing the Scot privateer.

Bethiah's mother died the day she was born and her father raised her in Philadelphia, with some assistance from his aunt. He was successful enough as a lawyer that Bethiah had a comfortable upbringing, though they were never quite wealthy. When the British army took possession of Philadelphia in 1777, Bethiah and her father had nowhere to go, and despite having patriotic tendencies, had to remain in the city where they endured the challenges of attempting to appear politically neutral.

She is also skilled with operating a shopfront, which she learned while working in the milliner's shop.
