Helvei

The Helvei are a race of Zaranai who live in the central part of the great plains. Their skin ranges from fair to olive and they tend to have dark hair and eyes.

Family names

Like most Zaranai, they have adopted the ideologies of Sola the Great and place great emphasis on ancestral lineage. Their family names reflect these values and they are commonly named after accomplished ancestors.

Major language groups and dialects

Sedunic is spoken through the entirety of the Helvei nation, and since Aldon's conquest of the peoples, he has been making attempts to standardize the language.

Major organizations

The Helvei (or Thornhall) Nation is a recently formed nation under the power of Aldon Thornhall and his son, Tyridon. Before their swift conquest and absorption of the surrounding Helvei people under their flag, the Helvei consisted of scattered tribes and colonies with individual lords and chieftains. However, they are now a force to be reckoned with, and after he united all of his kin under his flag, Aldon makes no secret of his plans to expand his empire across all of Rhamas.
