Ursine

The Ursine are a species of Bearfolk native to Orzadama. The Polar Ursine tend to live in cold regions like Ximbaal's Wake, with many of their communities having good relations with the Goliath tribes that also call that region their home, while others have found homes in other villages of the tribes of Tval Vorten. Brown and black Ursine are found scattered through Orzadama, some taking up residence in the mountain surrounding Cerza'Ghalthur, while some have taken to city living, be it in the Free Lands or by pledging themselves to any of the major kingdoms are the land.     Ursine hold concepts like honor and strength to the highest regard, and when traveling with other species tend to view themselves as the groups protector, often holding themselves responsible if any they call ally or friend end up wounded or dead. Ursine tend to be boisterous, loud, and take things to the extreme. The phrase "Never make a bet with a bear you aren't planning to pay" may be used literally, but the platitude within rings quite true. Though an Ursine may consider someone a friend, they will expect them to keep true to their word over things both large and small, and will take deep personal offense when that is not the case. As such, the Ursine can be considered stubborn as often as determined, and can be very hard to sway once any decision has been made.
