Elf, High

High Elves regard themselves as being far superior to other races due to their (former) inherent attunement to the arcane and specifically to Mystra, the mistress of magic herself. The magnitude of their involvement with the arcane arts in the past has left its mark on the very blood of the High Elves, with magical potential being passed down from generation to generation and inherent magical capabilities are more common for High Elves than with other races (though it is still quite rare).
High elves also have a truly primeval relationship with the art of bladesinging - a cross between sword-fighting and spell-casting - that has been practised by the most learned of wizards.
