GlebKey

Named for the Glebb / Key ore that the island is known for

Ancient city on the island of the same name. Due to this island's, and city's, strategic location on the Pasmana Sea both the Rhosaya district and Primiea district have disputed that the island is within one another's borders.

Demographics

Due to the city's split borders, the city is split mostly 50 - 50 between Primi and Rheyan.

Government

Due to the city's split nature, it has head "families" that represent both districts, with nobilities and two different class systems for each half of the city. With each family having influence on the other one as the two constantly battle for major influence on the island.

Defences

The city has Kymba military as well as sets of troops from either district present as a deterrent to one another.

Industry & Trade

The island of GlebKey is rich in a special alloy called Glebb, or Key in Rheya, that is the main alloy used in most of the armor and weapons used by the Kymba military and its various branches. This is why the island is so highly debated between the two districted because control of the whole island would mean control over all the mines on the island.

Glebb / Key Armor

A young Savanna Oleander adorning Glebb/Key Armor   Also commonly known as "Ground Leather" due to its leathery appearance, but don't let that fool you, this armor might be as light as leather, but it's stronger than steel. The most expensive armor in the kingdom and as such is only used by the Atlan Night Guard and special Kymbal forces.

Infrastructure

Despite the city being split between two districts, due to the free borders between the districts the city has consistent infrastructure throughout. Though there are remnants of a wall that use to split the city back when it was under the control of two different nations (Rhosayan Republic and Primiea Empire).

Guilds and Factions

Though there are no significant factions within the city, the placement of many Primi and Rheyan troops along the border of the island and the city make it seem as though they are merely at a ceasefire with one another.

History

An island very rich in the alloy Glebb, or Key in Rheya, the island and its various mining locations have seen many battles across the centuries as various nations have tried to take control of the entire island, but for one reason or another, never were capable of doing so. Until the Unification of the Dayarin Empire and the Polaris Kingdom which brought the island under the control of a single power for the first time. Though this was the case the two districts within the kingdom, the Rhosaya and Primiea, would fight over whose borders the island should resided in for many years. This eventually boiled over when the two districts almost declared war on one another, this is when the Atlan military had to step in and split the island evenly between the two district, which is where it stands today.

Head Families

Rheyan - Ina

Noble Riavel of the Rheyan GlebKey head family Ina.   The Rheyan head family, Inu, has changed a lot from the mainland families, being the furthest family from the capital most of the year, and with a heavy Primi culture next door, there are major differences. The color change from a bright red/pink to a green, due to the green tinted Rhosaya trees that grow on the island, for the nobility and city colors is one. The use of PrimRose flowers in the making of the family crest, which is nowhere in any other Rheyan family crest, is the most major difference.

Primi - Cyhra

With the green tint that many flowers, like the Hannula that float to the island, get have influenced the color of the Primi head family's crest, becoming a combination of green and gold. As well as changing their crest flower to a Lupine rather than the standard PrimRose or Hanula.
