Jarden
The clear blue waters came in small waves against the shores, shining in the late evening sunset. The well-worn planks of the docks cracked and groaned as the dock hands moved cargo on and off their ships covered in their sweat and with their muscles straining. As the sun sets, the workers begin to walk off looking for taverns or heading back aboard prepare to leave with the tide. The cobbled streets of the walled city slowly emptied as the people of the city went home to find comfort in their beds and to rest from the day’s worries.
As the argent orb of the moon rose above the sleeping city as those who didn’t prowl the streets. The guard patrolled the streets but for those who knew their way around the dark streets, this mattered not sneaking past them with ease, their knowledge of the streets and its backways allowing them to find their way into the homes of those who slept to steal their riches.
The tall stone walls that protected the town from the demon hosts of the past stood strong, over 4 stories high and 10 meters thick. The massive gates stood open and outside was the outer city, the progeny for those who had built the monolithic construction. These where those who were poor and dirty. Their dingy hovels were dirtier than a pigsty, but in the case of an attack these would be first to fall and those who lived there would be first to die.
Near the docks stood a large keep where the royalty of this city stayed, torches still lit to wade off the darkness as guards stood before the gates. And they would stand there only changing positions to rest when the sun rises. And upon the docks was the Royal Fleet. Over 40 ships stood proudly with the royal crest painted on each of their sails. The ships where massive things some of them with three or even four masts.
