Obliterator

This is typically constructed with a shell of brass with internal plates that slide against the outer shell, the shell much like a ball that would fit in one's hand. However, the shell has 6 holes, on the top, bottom, left, right, front and back. These openings are typically covered by the internal plates.  A single shard of arcane is set in the centre of this structure being held in place by metal wires that tie it to the outer shell. On this object, there are slight depressions that when tapped in a certain order will activate the mechanism. This causes the internal plates to move out of the way and allows the internal shard to activate. This causes a massive sphere of chaotic energy that destroys and reconstitutes the matter around it. The design can be modified to create different effects. For example, if the shard is imbued with a nexus of chaos, it will create the same destructive and reconstituting effect but will open a rift into the realm of Mordakai and summon forth a demon.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The radius of effect is 10 feet in diameter. Any creature fully caught in the effect will die as it's matter is rearranged through the area. A creature partially caught in the effect will roll a 1d100 to determine what happens, using Table 1.
