Runework
Etched letters that contain power that can draw power from Shards of Arcane and use them in lieu of a magical caster. These runes are etched into the material with a shard infused with the power of Kaidun. The rune is then written in a language. There are three known forms of runework. Elven, dwarvish and gnomish. The runes are written in an modified verison of their normal languages to better channel the power of the shards.
Dwarven runework has to be done on a massive scale for it to work well, otherwise the rune might cause the item it is enchanted to annihilate itself. Gnomish script is by far more fine and has more subjective runes that allows for the runes to work much better with lesser runes having too may when working in gnomish script can actually cause the item in question to have occational maulfuctions. However, it can be used in sentences unlike dwarven rune workhence giving the crafter a lot morecontrol over the final result. There also is elvish script. It is able to actully imprint the power of their runes onto an object if they have what they create a chaos eradication field that prevents any external magical sources from causing the final product from getting imprinted with magical proprties that were not planned. However, elven script is extreme difficult to master and there are only a couple elves that are actually able to do so. It takes most of their long lives to learn it. And then he tell them of runic. That is the language that was designed for creating runes back before the demons where around. The runes were designed by incorparating a bit of the language of the ancient s and then was modifyied by a couple of expert runeworkers in every language and they worked to create the most comprehensive rune work script. This resulted in Runic. It is said to have all the benifts and none of the issues that the other languages have but it has been lost to time and nobody knows how to use it anymore.
