Chazo

Chazo is the outer-most plane of "respectable civilization." Host to the demonic guardians of the realm. The plane is physical like Rine, but has its own distinctive geography. Chazo is more dangerous than Rine, a fact evident in the architecture and geography of the world. The sky too is pitch and oily in color, a swirling depth similar to the deep ocean. The stars wink deliberately. Things move up there, and the feeling of being watched by something (or someone) is all too apparent. The natural residents of Chazo are capable of flight, and the tall towers and floating buildings cater to their abilities. Stairs aren't often factored into the floor plans, perhaps a dismay for any grounded visitors.

The majority of Chazo's surface is harsh rock scapes similar to the rock forests of Madagascar. Only the cities seem to have swaths of greenery and water, carefully maintained by their inhabitants. Fauna & Flora

What lives here is rough and hardy, and likely wants to eat you. Flora tends towards the carnivorous angle. What fauna isn't carnivorous is probably more likely to kill you than wait to see if you're not a threat. A notable herbaceous beast appears as a cross between a camel and a moose; they can and will kill you, and they can and will outlive you. Magic is more free in the realm, and its residents have picked up a trick or two.

Natural Resources

The cruel mountains and stonework are rife with dangerously beautiful jewels and metals stronger than anything you'd find on Rine. The food leaves something to be desired; the creatures here are all tough, making their eating equally tough. Food tends to be cooked longer for edibility's sake. The unique wildlife makes for prized trophies and keenly-sought magical ingredients.
