Undead
The Undead are a peculiar "race" in Rine. While individual members may hail from any of the sapient species, the collective undead community is considered separate from any parent species.
All members of the Undead are also part of the church of undeath, and their source of a second life comes from their patron god, Cheron.

Major Organizations
All members of the Undead belong to their founding church, as it is their patron god who blesses them with second life.
Beauty Ideals
Taking good care of your body is the biggest focus for them. As the undead do slowly begin to rot away into skeletons, perfumes and incense become more valuable.
Common Dress Code
Modest frocks with the symbol of the church on them somewhere. Enchanted bandages and wraps are often common, especially on older individuals that may have started the rotting process.
Bone priests have special garments.
Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals
The undead live sort of like monks or nuns, dedicating their unlives to study and service to the world. While their religion does not require strict adherence, some minor observances must be kept to retain the boon of undeath.
Common Taboos
Converting an unwilling individual into undeath is forbidden and is punishable by re-death.
Historical Figures
The first cleric is a well noted and inspiration individual for many undead.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
Due to the actions of the church, the undead have a primarily favorable relationship with the sapient races of Rine. While some discomfort from the obvious presence of death can make things awkward, the church works hard to help wherever they are, their sanctuaries functioning as safe havens for travellers, or orphanages and emergency hospitals.
