Ashpoint
While it might seem small compared to most places, Ashpoint is the biggest town you'll find anywhere close to the Shorn Wastes. Ashpoint is treated like an unofficial bordertown, marking a clear line: south is the rest of Vittania, north is volcanic wasteland. The people here are tough. When the weather is bad, ash blows south and blankets the town. When a volcano blows up to the north, you feel an earthquake. You get used to it all living in Ashpoint. The non-locals you'll find here are usually the type hoping to make a big discovery up north - ore veins, magicite, or buried treasure.

- Magmoor's Tavern: Named for the wild-eyed and bushy-tailed vulpine founder of the town, Silvanus Magmoor; this tavern, inn, and music hall all-in-one is the place to go after a hard day of work. Whatever's on tap is what they could get in this month, take it or leave it. Food's the same. Performing musicians? Probably the same as last week, and the week before that. By the standards of anywhere else in the World, this place is a dive. To the people of Ashpoint, it's the place to socialize, relax, and share stories about the wild things you thought you saw in the Wastes.
- Waste Warden Hall: The Waste Wardens are a smaller guild, numbering only a few hundred, who've taken it upon themselves to protect the people of Vittania from whatever terrors lurk in the Shorn Wastes. Though beasts are incredibly rare in the Wastes, there are sightings of magma golems, galeb duhrs, and insectoid creatures that lurk in the cooled magma tunnels. The Waste Wardens scout these areas, attemping to keep any magical monsters they find away from society. Their main guildhall is located near the center of Ashpoint.
