Twin gods of Dreams

Twin gods, the Somnambulist and Somniloquist share the domain of dreaming, luck and messages although they represent different aspects.
The Somnambulist is the god of nightmares, sleepwalking, bad luck and bad news. He is also known as the Nightwalker. Depicted as a dark purple skinned man sitting with his legs in lotus position, dressed only in a simple loincloth, with a mouthless face and curving crescent horns tipped with white protruding from where the eyes would be. Sleepwalkers are seen as corrupted messengers and heralds of dark tidings. Those tainted by the Nightwalker's touch find themselves awakening in different locations then were they went to sleep in, often doing something they would normally never do while awake. Followers of the Somnambulist purposely deprive themselves of sleep in efforts to enter a "waking-dream" state, or to make deep sleep come more easily.

The Somniloquist is the god of lucid dreams, sleeptalking, good luck and good news. She is also known as the Dreamtalker. Depicted as a dark skinned woman sitting with her legs in lotus position, dressed in a simple white cloak with hood pulled low, revealing only a kindly smiling mouth. Sleeptalkers are seen as blessed messengers from the gods, and to hear someone sleeptalk is akin to hearing an oracle speak. Those graced with the Dreamtalker's blessing find themselves praised and honored by those around them, yet they cannot themselves recall what they said to earn such merit. Followers of the Somniloquist experiment with various herbs, rituals and other methods in attempt to achieve lucid dreams and increase the likelihood of being chosen for a message from the Dreamtalker.
