Attack on the Giant Slug

General Summary

The session started by picking up where we left off last time, finally getting to loot the bodies of the ogrekin slain. Burok's griffon was more interested in continuing to make friends with the dog, while Smoopy stood in shock watching the now sleeping dog who had been attacking him previously. This included taking a good look at the still, learning that it has not likely been cleaned well. Despite taunts to either drink or dump it, neither happens and everyone decided to come back and look at it later. After a few minutes the party decided it was time to see what was beyond the door into the other half of the room. Shalelu and Mini Vindu took the catwalk around the top to see what they could find.
Upon opening the doors they found a giant slug sleeping, while one of the cages along the catwalk held 3 poisoners, all looking badly beaten. Mini V went to go help them while Shalelu stood watch ready to attack the slug if needed. On the main floor Burok and Tetsuo tried to open the door, with some difficultly until Vindu stepped in and folded away the door. Fortunately Burok was able to move quick enough as this brought down lumber that had been against the door. The sleeping slug slowly awoke to the attempted rhythmic sounds of Smoopy's saxophone and Burok's banging of his weapon on the ground. After a few rounds of attack including a pair of Scorching Ray's from Vindu, the beast was downed, the final shot came from Tetsuo.
Shalelu took watch by the barn door and the others went to check on the prisoners. Healing them slightly and outfitting them with magic made clothes and some weapons - the looted short spears and two with bows. Fishing for information about who these men are all that was said was that they are the last of the Black Arrows. When Shalelu came up to talk with them she recognized one and let the group know this is who she was talking about. Deciding to leave these men to rest now they they have a way to defend themselves the adventurers decided to check out the house itself.
Approaching the mouldly building Vindu was the first to walk near the walls, checking out the porch, deciding he wanted to turn the large rocking chair - party made of bone - into a bead to keep for himself. As everyone contemplated how to enter and their plan Vindu suggested just burning the place down, to his dismay it was turned down.
Entering into what can only be described as a horrid kitchen nearly all became sick, Burok being the only one who wasn't sick, was able to help the others. Finding a staircase down Tetsuo took lead heading down, Vindu grabbing a kitchen cleaver on the way.
Tetsuo poked his head into each room at the bottom of the stairs, first finding a room full of skin and bones in various piles. Then a store room of broken farm equipment and furniture, this had another pair of doors at the end of the room to be explored later. The third door at the bottom of the stairs was the only one of interest, with everyone jumping into attack the ogrekin and oversized rats working down here. Mini Vindu tried to attack the rats and put them to sleep, succeeding on one quickly (which got tied up with plans to take it back to the zoo), while Shalelu took shots at the second, leaving the creature for Tetsuo and Burok to focus on. Vindu joined the attempts to put anything to sleep, while Smoopy decided there was no more room for him and he went to explore the doors through room number two. Vindu offered again to burn down the building.
At first Smoopy was lead to a wide hallway that enticed him with another pair of doors. Slowly opening them he found a room that had pools of water, puffy fungus growing on the walls and a rotting vegetable smell. Running in to the room next was a split second choice that resulted in getting attacked by a huge planet creature. Luckily for him it missed and he was able to escape the room.
That is where we left off, in the middle of combat, the ogre having just died, Smoopy escaped the Tendriculos and both rats sleeping.
