Return to Sandpoint
General Summary
Tonight the group finished the battle with the Mobogo then returned to Magnimar and Sandpoint.
Picking up where were left on in the battle with the Mobogo, Burok started slipping down and falling into the water, unable to swim the water elemental helped support him. The creature focused on Dorius still, trying to charm the griffon, without any luck while he was attacking him. Those on the ship took shots at the creature with some success, Mini Vindu bravely got close enough to bite but was unsuccessful, Vindu on the other had got some really good shots in with fire attacks. He nearly killed the beast but Uster Battletongue got the last shot in. It's wings outstretched a little as it started to sink into the water. The group debated bringing the thing on board or turning it into a bead but as it sank but decided against doing so.
The rest of the day was pretty uneventful the rain picking up again after lunch, everyone spent dinner relaxing after that fight Eensor Selor opened up a little but not much, she did however commission Vindu to create a second elemental gem for the ship to have. A deal was reached regarding the price being a little less in exchange for free passage (if the ship was heading in that direction) for 2 years with the condition it might some down to 1 after Thistletop docks finished and Eensor was willing to add that to her trade route. She creating a contract that Tetsuo pointed out a loophole in - the 2 years was guaranteed, thankful it was pointed out she fixed it before everyone signed it.
The next day was spent with Amekio Kaijitsu in the kitchen with Perren Savod, trading tips. The children , Pralen, Prilbun, Tani Missa and Barloc Gadron, kept themselves busy with the cards they were given. It did rain the rest of the wat to Magnimar, and the ship docked near 8pm on the second of Abadius.
After disembarking the group split up, Ameiko, Tetsuo and Burok taking the children up with Sandpoint. Leaving Ameiko with two of the little ones, while taking the other boys to the garrison to reunite with Vachedi. Leaving without a word they made their way back to the Rusty Dragon for their own drinks. Where Bethana Corwin told them of a party they were a few days early for.
While Smooppy, Lehto and Vindu stayed near the docks to find a tavern to drink at. Lehto spent a few plat to buy rounds for the bar, while discussing their last few days an older dock hand overheard about the Mogobo and commented that he was sorry they had to deal with one (surprising the group, who thought only the one existed). He'd lost a friend to them years before. He told them of the rumors and legends he'd heard about them.
After some time drinking Smooppy decided he wanted some of the tongue that had been cut away - still tangled around Dorius' legs - he wanted to put it in Lehto's drink. They were soon kicked out and made their way to Tetsuo's holding in town called the Onyx Angel, Lehto barely conscious from the ale. They were shown to their hidden rooms and slept the drinks off. Waking up they rejoined the others heading up to Sandpoint. We left off with leveling up and 4 days of downtime. I will be touching base with each for a review. This will be an extended break with a few one shots.
