This town is the largest and most fortified of all of Korvosa's inland settlements, resulting in a large militarty base. The town also controls the drawbridge over Yondabakari river. 
The town also uses the rivers force to power a number of lumber and grain mills.

  Town of Melfesh

  The Varisian town of Melfesh straddles both the northern and southern shores of the Yondabakari River as it flows into Lake Syrantula. Built on long piers that stick out into the river, it is was founded by Jorsh Melfesh in 4569 AR.
