Mithral Hall
Mithral Hall is a dwarven stronghold located in the heart of the Spine of the World mountain range. It was founded by dwarves over a thousand years ago, and it has since become one of the most famous and prosperous dwarven cities in the Forgotten Realms.
Mithral Hall's history is steeped in legend and lore. According to dwarven tradition, the city was founded by dwarves who were led to the site by the deity Moradin himself. The dwarves discovered a rich vein of mithral, a rare and valuable metal, and they used it to build the city's walls and fortifications.
The dwarves in their greed, though, delved too deep and broke through into the lair of a Shadow Dragon, who proceeded to send its minions the subjugate the dwarves and plunder their riches. Connerad Brawnanvil rallied the city, leading his battleragers to victory against the dragon. Having reigned for decades, overseeing the rebuilding of the city after the seige and battle, he has recently abdicated his throne to his cousin Dagnabbet, as he leads the efforts to reclaim the ancient dwarven stronghold of Gauntlgrym.
