Verderian Forest

The Verderian Forest is a dense landscape of towering conifers and low-lying ferns - unique as a landscape because it shares characteristics of a proto-Shattering alpine region combined with a more lush post-Shattering ecology. This uncommon natural occurrence is why the Verderian farmlands are so fertile, and is also why the Elven Council has assured the neutrality of the region since the Shattering. It is widely accepted that the forest is filled with a high density of both flora and fauna, the latter of which are territorial. Today, few venture to the eastern portion of the forest, as the dense brush makes travel slow, difficult, and overall dangerous.
