Cilritanë a'Detvida

Adeýla Cilanannë Cilritanë a'Detvida (a.k.a. Tanë)

Prophetess: It has been some time, Tanë. It brings me joy that you seem well. Though the blood shed for your unity is a tragedy, I can see how the people prosper because of your ambition.

Cilritanë: It has been some time indeed, great mother. It pleases me to see you well. The years have done naught to diminish your resplendence... Every day I think of the souls who did not live to see the fruits of my labor, but I know that I did what must be done to secure our future as a people.

Prophetess: Your conviction makes me glad. But no man, no would-be king of kings should rule without guidance of those who can see the world from beyond the mortal ken. Do you believe, my dear Tanë? To whom of the divinities do you profess your allegiance?

Cilritanë: I pledge myself to the Nine, great mother. To them and all those who serve beneath them.

Prophetess: The Nine? Why do you not worship the gods of your ancestors, the gods of old in whom the history of your people is rooted?

Cilritanë: The druids have never been our people, and the Aenevë broke the world to drive us out of their homes and cities. Their gods watched and were silent as we pleaded for their aid. My people rose to freedom by the guidance of He Who is Death, and we are forever changed by His will.

The Litany
Cilritanë a'Detvida was an ambitious tretallë who dreamed of unifying the disparate post-diaspora tretalleri tribes under a single banner and would later succeed, going on to become the first Pale Imperator of the Dominion.   Though brought up in the relative safety of the interior of the northern region of Di'Termalttë, as the heir apparent to the throne of the Kingship of the Bone Trees, a military crisis in the south that required an unprecedented level of response from northern tretalleri states during Cilritanë's formative years proved instrumental in shaping the views that he would come to champion once he assumed the throne. A cunning leader and uncompromising in his principles to his dying breath, Cilritanë brought the full force of his formidable will to bear on the realization of his dream, and as a result, forged an ironclad legacy that would have him remembered long after all his enemies and detractors had been forgotten by history.
