The Acquisitioners' Guild (T.A.G.)

T.A.G. was founded by Jewel d'Marco in the rebuilding years after the Dragon Onslaught as a way of helping to organize the chaos, and to make some coin of course. The first Chapter sprung up in Doveport and its influence quickly began to spread. The Guild offered jobs and other services to the local populations which provides steady work for adventurers traveling around. With the quick success of her business, others begin to follow suit, which led to a very competitive market for these adventuring guilds. Soon after the adventuring guild boom, laws were placed in nations that recoginized them and the concept of expedition licenses were born. Now, Adventuring Guilds have Primary, Secondary, and Closing rights it most of Eroth.   It is also the reason for T.A.G.'s banner of choice the "Crowned Jewel". The first reason is because of Jewel being its founder and the second because The Acquisitioners' Guild sets the standard for expedition organizations.   T.A.G. provides a wide variety of services but mostly focus on item retrievals but are open to many contracts. However, this does not include petty monster removal but T.A.G. is sometimes contacted for such matters. Adventurer's that wish to take on such contracts by themselves may do so at their own behest.   Below are services offered by T.A.G. Chapters but may be limited by resources:
  • Contract management with locals if a contract has not already been established with said locals for the task.
  • Healing, medical/herbal. Not magical.
  • Item appraisals.
  • Sleeping and cooking space.
  • Library access for History, Monster, and Apothecary research.
  • Gear storage.
  • Stables and grooming for traveling animals.
Once a contract has been established, it is up to the Adventuring Party to complete it in whatever way they deem fit as long as it meets the contract deadline. However, this does not mean harming innocent bystanders in the process.   Once a contract has been completed, the party will bring back proof and also present any goods they find to the commissions officer. T.A.G. will then tally up the total of the monetary value, if any, and take the percentage that was negotiated in the contract, usually 10%. T.A.G. rarely keeps any items from a parties' treasure other than those outlined in the contract but can do so without any warning if the item is of interest. If an item is taken, T.A.G. will forfeit any other commissions to the party.   If an Adventuring Party under contract is found to be withholding any findings or treasures at the closing of the contract, punishments will be handed down as follows:
  • First Offense - Fined up to 50% of treasure findings.
  • Second Offense - Fined up to 75% of treasure findings and a one year ban on adventuring.
  • Third Offense - Fined up to 100% of treasure findings, branded a thief via magic, and a life long ban on adventuring.
