The Triad of Magic

Long ago, these three siblings drew upon their respective domains to bestow upon Ro'Kroya the gift of the Art - arcane magic. The magic of Ro'Kroya is thus a reflection of these three godly entities, a confluence of their essence. Each stroke of a wizard's wand, each glyph inscribed by a sorcerer, each spell invoked by a warlock, echoes the influence of these siblings, interwoven in a cosmic dance, harmonious in their imbalance. Magic, as it is known in Ro'Kroya, is a testament to their combined legacy.

Luminaris, the Shimmering Shield

The benevolent sibling, the essence of compassion and protection, sought to imbue Ro'Kroya with an arcane force for the betterment of all beings. This entity has been known by many names, including Luminaris, the Shimmering Shield, Benevolari, Protector's Beacon, and Glistanor, the Kindling Star. Its followers are those arcane casters who seek to use magic for the good of all. They perceive their patron as a beacon of hope, a sanctuary of light amidst the shadows of the world, personifying the ideals of compassion, protection, and foresight.

Omnilara, the All-seeing

The neutral sibling, the guardian of balance and freedom, breathed magic into the world intending it to be a tool neither innately good nor evil. Its gift was to fuel curiosity and exploration, to maintain equilibrium in the universe. This elemental has been revered by names such as Omnilara, the All-seeing, Tranquilis, the Silent Observer, and Equilarum, the Scales of Balance. The seekers of balance are those who wield magic in the name of freedom. For these followers, their patron symbolizes an unflinching eye in the storm, forever maintaining the harmony of forces in the world.

Avarisoul, the Covetous One

The malevolent sibling, the embodiment of power sought for darker purposes, infused the world with magic that tempts and corrupts. It fuels arcane casters who bend magic to their will for greed, revenge, hatred, and ambition. Known by names such as Avarisoul, the Covetous One, Nocrex, the Shadow’s Grasp, and Tyrannomagus, the Oppressor of the Arcane, this entity is both feared and revered. To its followers, their patron is the embodiment of their unquenchable thirst for power and control, the essence of their unrestrained ambition.

The Balance

In the realm of Ro'Kroya, magic resonates in the very fabric of existence, a gift from ancient elemental siblings who represent the triad of alignment: the beneficent, the neutral, and the malevolent. As with all things in the universe, these godly powers are linked, connected in a delicate balance that underpins the cosmos.   Luminaris, Omnilara, and Avarisoul, or by whichever names they are called, are not often worshipped in the traditional sense. Rather, arcane casters channel their power through their magic, becoming conduits of their influence. It's an intimate connection, the caster's soul tethered to the cosmic essence of these deities, the very embodiment of the magical spectrum.   Despite their varying leanings, these siblings share a commonality. Each desires their form of magic to be used, to be explored, to be pushed to its limits. They represent the unquenchable thirst for knowledge and power, the exploration of the unknown, and the will to bend reality to one's desires.   It is also essential to note that the Gods of Magic, despite their extraordinary powers, are not omnipotent. The nature of their existence is tied to the magic they gave to the world. If the magic of Ro'Kroya wanes, so too would their influence. Furthermore, their balance of power relies on the equilibrium maintained between them. Should this balance falter, it could spell cataclysmic consequences for Ro'Kroya.
