Grappling Ramps are an articulated bridge that is attached to a heavy weapons mount. Fully extended they are 20x5 ft long/wide, with railings and a long spikes or grapnels at the end that is pounded into the deck of the opposing vessels.
Once deployed a grappling ramp has 2 effects;

1. It grants anyone crossing it a +1 Item bonus to any Athletics or Acrobatics checks needed to cross the gap between ships.
2. It imposes a -1 Item penalty on both ships if they try to take the Repel Grapple action.

For a you can either extend or retract the ramp.
