Dread Guard

The Dread Guard are the personal body guards of the Ebon House. They wear heavy armour and are dressed in black capes. Their helms are stylized to took like leering skulls and they have the standard of the Raven on their shields.
The Dread Guard have always been fanatically loyal and stoic. The general populace has always believed that they took a vow of silence as they were never heard speaking, apart from a few commanders. They always wore their full-faced helms closed which enhanced their sinister reputation. Recently, however, with the joint mission of all the noble houses to take a task force to Granita and defeat the Writhing Death, the Dread Guard were proven to be far more sinister than most had imagined.
It turns out that they are, in fact, reanimated corpses. Each lowest ranked member of the Dread Guard is a skeleton, held together and empowered by fell necrotic energies. The commanders are either given command of the units of Dread Guard and the undead commanded to obey them, or in some cases are even fell necromancers themselves.
The leader of the Dread Guard is Wiktor Ebon, son of the Dark Lord.
