Personal history
Imhotep was a highly trained and respected member of the legendary Keri-heb of Khemit. At the young age of twenty one he was sent across the sea to oversee the distant domain of Hishan. Rather than leading Hishan as a subject of Khemit, instead Imhotep took it upon himself to declare the country independent.
The then ruler of Khemit did nothing about it, and his son, the current ruler of that ancient and powerful kingdom has likewise, as yet, not seen fit to punish Hishan for their actions. But many scholars of history suspect retribution is coming, and soon.
