Captain (a.k.a. Luckless)

Appearance

You see a thin man brown eyes that seem to be filled with sadness, his down turned face always seems to expect the worse but hope for the best. His accent which drops out and adds in syllables seemingly at random marks him as a long time seafarer, He stands at about 5 7' and has a thick white beard and hair that marks him of some age about 65. He wears on his head a large hat and holds a cutlass at his side seemingly ever wary. The decedent clothes on Turloch seem to mark him as possibly a wealthy trader but they now seem old and bedraggled. He hobbles slightly on a peg leg whenever he moves and and doesn't seem very acrobatic.

Recent Backstory

Captain Turlocks ship ran aground in a storm off the coast of Grunal, those of his crew that survived immediately abandoned him saying that he is cursed and that his bad luck will kill them all if they stick around him too long.

Full Backstory

Born on the island of Mochica in the town of Porta Maris, Turlocks parents were both Athenians who had migrated for an unknown reason. Turloch always had a fascination with the ships that regularly came in and out of the port and would spend most of his time talking too the sailors about the foreign lands they had visited. So it was no surprise when he signed up to join with a merchant vessel. He served aboard many ships before eventually ending up aboard a sloop named 'The Striker in the sea' it didn't take long to realize that Captain Nickleby (The ships captain) was fine with partaking in crime on the high seas, when attacking a large trading vessel Nickleby died to an arrow through the throat. Turlock was raised to captain after taking command in the chaos that followed and leading the ship to riches. He continued pirating and had several good raids. This was where his luck ended though and whether trading or pillaging he always maintained string of bad luck leading to the nickname 'luckless'. Despite losing several ships and ending up rowing to safety in a tiny rowboat full of gold he was never caught. Eventually he ended up with his ship running aground in a storm and being abondoned by all his crew. He decided to lay low for a while but gives the excuse that he had been cursed by the sea gods, and swears never to step aboard a ship again. He is now stuck as an adventurer for hire trying to get some cash for a living.
