Fujaku Yumichika
Yumichika was born to Kujaku Ume and is the exact reason that tainted men and women are sworn never to have children. He was born with the misfortune of being tainted.
Given no chance at a pure and just life, with his soul already damned to the punishment realm of Jigoku the moment he entered the mortal realm, Yumichika has mostly embraced the concept of "duty over happiness". He is the heir to the Peacock clan, and he is loved very much by his mother, but he is claimed as adopted, and his taint is hidden from outsiders. This has put a wall between him and everyone else.
He resents the wall, but accepts it as a natural result of the grasp of Jigoku. He doesn't blame his mother, but blames the realm itself for its sway and grasp over the world.
While he never expected to allow anyone in, he stumbled upon a small Yasuki Saito during his travels, and decided immediately that a homosexual marriage would be just fine. He needn't have children, but he could have companionship, and Saito was too cute not to steal.
Saito was a pushover. Compared to other Yasuki, he could be convinced to basically do anything if asked sweetly enough. Turns out, his twin sister had pretty much been using that to her advantage her whole life. Yumichika quickly seduced him, and getting permission to marry him was easy with their parents. They adopted a young girl and raised it as their own.
