Hiei Kitsumaru

Kitsumaru was born in Toshi Josho in the Midori District as a peasant. One of the few people who could speak to the Kami, he found himself quickly with a family name and samurai status. He was propelled into a paragon of the community, and ended up the leader of one of the local Fire Brigades, and a Captain in the Midori-Han-Dan-Kai.

Kitsumaru is a protective and kind man with a specific set of humiliation kinks, which he performs with consent on his partner, Aiya of the Hize gang. Despite her upbringing as a heinin, he intends to marry her one day, and since Kitsumaru's parents are neither samurai and do not care, and his station within the Hiei family is minimal at best, nobody is likely to question him. Moreover, the Spider clan are far less testy about class, and especially in the Rising City.
