Mirumoto Tsukiakari

Tsukiakari was born to a family of Mirumoto who remembered their origins under the Moon Kami Hitomi. She was raised on tales of how Hitomi rose up and smote lord Moon when he was backing the Darkness, how the Dragon clan fractured underneath the weight of her duty and the clawing destruction of her mind. She also was keenly aware of how the Kami had decided that humans were not fit to sit on the throne in Tengoku, and had driven Hitomi and her lord sun out. That didn't sit well with her.
The Dragon Clan is never really a clan to judge someone for their heresy, but if they were going to, it would be Tsukiakari. She was barely quiet about her worship of Hitomi, even though the Moon had changed to the Obsidian Moon long ago, and, more dangerously, she was barely contained about her plans to be the next Hitomi. She was softly, not so softly, declaring war on the heavens, and while each person needs to find enlightenment their own way, there was a limit.
The Dragon clan didn't punish Tsukiakari, though. They merely tried their best to curb her enthusiasm. They locked her into a political marriage to the General of the Fire Legions, hoping the close proximity to a phoenix would tone her enthusiasm, or at least quiet her candor. It did not. Agasha Tomeiru was a nice young boy who didn't much enjoy conflict, until Tsukiakari walked into his life.
She spoke heresies aloud that would get them both killed, but holy shit did he find her undeniably attractive. He protected her from his clan by covering for her, by hiding her in places where she wouldn't be spoken to directly by anyone who would judge her, and by advising her when to speak and not. At first, he tried to argue her out of her silly plans. Then, he tried to convince her she was trying to attain an impossible goal. Unfortunately, the Celestial Order had other plans in mind.
Their relationship, while rocky, was passionate. And when she went to make war on Heaven, he helped her. They became Lady Moon and Lord Sun, the second pair who were human.
