Moto Reick

Before he was born, Moto Reick's mother was kidnapped into the shadowlands by the Dark Moto. She was kept there for months, and she was made pregnant. It was upon the birth of the children that she found the resilience and motivation to break free, hoping to spare her children from the unenviable fate of being trapped and tainted.
During her escape, she was cut off, and one of the twins was taken from the back of her horse. She was forced to escape without him. The one left behind became Moto Lehn. The one that came home and was given to his mother's family, before she committed Seppuku to save herself as best she could from the festering taint, was Moto Reick.
Reick grew to be a master of cavalry, and a general under the Great Khan. He was surrounded by loving family that caused him no end of annoyance, and married a woman too sickly to have intimate relations or children, because he was in love with another. Like him, his cousin Utaku Anna never bore children, although her lack of marriage options primarily came from the heinous rumors that plagued her.
While she and Reick loved each other, their blood ties were too close to act on it. While cousins were fine marriage for Imperials, Shinjo had instilled a law of marriages from a time long ago that both of them held to. They loved each other until the day they died.
