Ti'shal Vrlakki
This secluded, monastic order of Gith is based in the Astral Plane. Two thousand years ago, a Githyanki named Vrylon and a Githzerai named Immilalin discovered an attempt by illithids to infiltrate gith societies. The powers of the mind flayers saw these spies psychically dominated. When the mind flayers attempted to take the minds of the two warriors, they resisted but not before their own minds touched. On separate planes, but realizing that they were the only ones who could prevent the mind flayers plot, they went into action. They developed the secret techniques that allowed them to avoid domination altogether, merging psionics with Chi or Ki energy manipulations to create devastating attacks.
After they thwarted the plan, they founded a monastery where they and their disciples would train in their style. Though no preference is shown between the two opposing gith races, and in fact they are treated equally within the halls of the monastery, non-gith are not permitted to join. Fully initiated members are called Jez'rathkar, a reference in the gith tongue to their ability to Plane Shift. The internal Jez'rathkar hierarchy isn't always clear to outsiders, both because they give each other high regard and because they communicate primarily telepathically. Outsiders typically refer to them as Jez'rathkar Knights or Jez'rathkar Squires, assuming they are able to surmise any form of deference between one or the other.

Structure
Young gith who show an aptitude for psionics and using ki are sent or taken from their families to the Monastery. These youngest are sent to hone their physical bodies in the Prime Material Plane. During the time when magic was sealed on Rolara, this process was greatly impeded. As such, the number of these young novices was particularly high at the time of Reignition of the Stars of Power. Gith who are physically still children cannot access their deepest levels of ability, and as such even when such children have studied for more than 1,000 years they can never rise above the rank of Novice.
gi'Vrlakki are official students of the Monastery. Many have trained for at least a century with their psionics, and most are skilled martial artists. It is expected that gi'Vrlakki stay within the Monstery, though they are occasionally sent to other planes for training. gi'Vrlakki are beholden to a vow of silence, but they communicate freely with telepathy.
Once gi'Vrlakki master the ability to Plane Shift, they take the titles that the Founders held, Jez'rathkar. The Jez'rathkar are further divided into 3 levels. First are the Jez'rathkar Revrykal, who act as servants, assitants, or squires to the Jez'rathkar Varsh who are also called Knights, though the term varsh is closer in meaning to "caretaker" than knight. The source of their ability to resist domination is a orange cloud of plasma and astral dust near the monastery. The Jez'rathkar Varsh craft weapons connected to their very souls using this material. They guards this source and the secret of its manipulation stalwartly against the covetous forces of darkness.
