4809: CHAOS AT THE BOW’S END!
Tulk Tusktooth in danger of losing beloved tavern
Week one ended with yet another unexpected conflict at Strixhaven’s central campus.
This time around, chaos ensued at the Bow’s End Tavern, when a ‘broom’ and a ‘rug’ unexpectedly came to life and attacked a group of first-years. Furthermore, witnesses claim that they saw a ‘monster made of steam’ attacking the cook, a first-year by the name of Garrett Grigg.
Known for its warm, cozy ambience, as well as its famous dish, Curtie’s Special, the Bow’s End has for centuries remained a popular place for students of all backgrounds to gather and socialize. Yet this unexpected attack has certainly raised quite a few questions… Could this attack be somehow linked to the attack on the first-year students of the Krokt Tower? Is this a sign of further trouble to come throughout the year? Will the school assume responsibility for any potential student injuries in the future?
“Yeah, I… guess I am something of a hero, when you think about it. The other 5 did okay too, though.”Speculations suggest that the tavern manager, Tulk ‘the Bulk’ Tusktooth, might be in danger of losing his job. Rumors first surfaced last year, after Madame Dapplewing discovered that Tulk had fired 18 cooks over the span of 9 months. When questioned about the matter, Tulk had simply commented: “I ain’t got nothin’ to apologize for. Unlike the lot o’ youse, I respect the culinary art. An’ I ain’t got the patience for no lazy cooks.” Tusktooth was away at a conference during the time of the incident. The Bow’s End had been left in the care of Javenesh Stoutclaw, second-year Lorehold apprentice & tavern security. When asked if he had anything to offer, his response was: “Gee, it all happened so fast, y’know. One moment, everybody was just chillin’, the next thing y’know, everyone’s stormin’ outta there, y’know. One thing’s for damn sure, though! That new cook is here to stay! Boy can cook and kick some ass. I love it.”
