Church of the God Emperor

This sect of fanatics, whose creed has some similarities with Christianity and Mithraism, but from which it strongly separates itself, thinks that Emperors and Empresses are divinities, and should be venerated as such. The founder of this religion calls himself "Head Servant" as a reference to his function as servant of the God Emperor, and nobody knows its true name. Through the computer network he came into contact with a number of stragglers and disillusioned in various points in the Empire, and thanks to good persuasion skills he managed to convert them to his cause, giving them a purpose and turning them into fanatics, giving them assignment to recruit others to the cause. After a few years from its foundation this sect decided to take action and, while continuing to proselytize especially on the net, it was decided to attract attention with attacks whose purpose, in the minds of these people, is to attract the attention of the reigning Emperor and obtain a hearing, in which they will formally ask that the Emperor publicly reveal His divinity and finally make war on the divine plan against infidels and enemies, so that Rome dominates the world as it should be . What they do not know is that they have attracted the attention of Cornelius Leo, but it is not a benevolent attention because in the attack in Praetoria Moscovica one of the victims was a friend from the military academy of the Emperor and a friend since then, and the Emperor swore to himself that he would have the heads of those responsible. Unfortunately, despite the use of both the Pretorian Guard and the Imperial Secret Service, not much progress has been made, even though several cells have been dismantled, and all members have been sentenced to death. All that has been discovered is that the mind behind the entire sect is in the north-west of Italy, but it is not possible to establish exactly where it is, nor how it can obtain the materials for the bombs, since their computer skills are at least on par with those of the best computer analysts of the secret services.

Structure

This organization head is called simply "Head servant", while the heads of the various local branch call themselves "Servants" and the simple acolytes are called "Slaves". The "Slaves" only know their "Servant" and only by a code, while the "Servants" communicate with the "Head Servant" only thanks to encrypted emails.

It's not clear exactly how many funds the sect has, since the "Servants" get all they need (money, objects etc) from the "Head Servant".

History

This sect appeared for the first time in 3202 A.U.C., when they exploded a bomb at the Neapolis airport. Since then there have been 4 more attempts at Londinium, Nova Eboracum, Praetoria Moscovica and Leptis Magna.

Mythology & Lore

The sect believes that the moment the Emperor is chosen they are invested with the soul of the Empire, and they become a living God, that protects the Empire from the evil machinations of the Gods of the other Empires.

Cosmological Views

This universe was born when the spirit of Rome decided that it was time that the souls of the Roman people had a body and a physical host. But it was corrupted by the evil gods (the spirits of the Mayan, Persian etc empires) and their legions of demons, and that's the reason behind suffering, both individual and collective.

Tenets of Faith

The Emperor or Empress are physical gods, and as such must be worshipped. Everybody who says otherwise should be educated or, if not convinced, killed.
