Colonia Caligulae

The capital of Germanicus, Colonia Caligulae, was founded on the southern shore of a large lake on the continent of Alexandria. At the moment the city is still under construction, but there are plans to make it at least as big as Augusta Paduensis The city is developing in a semicircular shape around the lake, and at the moment it looks like a huge construction site. The works are delayed based on the schedule, and there have been several protests regarding the funds used for the construction of the gigantic bas-relief, which could have been diverted towards the development of the city. The protests, however, are currently still limited at the local level only. At the moment most of the city is occupied by temporary structures, which guarantee the minimum of possible comforts, and are barely enough to shelter from the local climate, especially during the hottest days. According to the projects Colonia Caligulae will have a government district in the eastern part of the city, while starting from there and going towards the west the commercial and residential district will be developed, while in the western part there will be the port and the warehouses for the various merchandises. As with almost all Roman cities, the city layout will be as checkered as possible, thus allowing greater constructive ease. At the moment only the government district is almost completed, while the port is also well under way. This unequal treatment is exacerbating the spirits against the governor, who has requested legionaries to restore public order, asserting that the forces at his disposal are not sufficient. At the moment, however, Rome has sent only a few squads, together with which it has also came a praetorian, who has not yet intervened in any way however. The city is connected by a motorway to the spaceship landing platform, which was built a few kilometers away for safety reasons.

The infrastuctures are the bare minimum, and it's more like a refugee camp than a roman city.
