Dinner with Lucius
The book "Dinner with Lucius" was one of the most successful cookbooks of the last decade.
Written by Lucius Domenicus, a well-known chef from Rome, it was concieved after a trip on Palatinus.
The book, which aroused strong protests from animal rights activists, presents recipes for cooking almost every single native species on that planet, be it mammals, reptiles, fish or other.
The recipes contained in this book mix traditional cooking styles like a normal electric oven with more unusual systems, such as magnetic cooking, as well as animals and plants of Palatinus with terrestrial ones, both natural or engineered.
Although those who tried the book's recipes were enthusiastic, and claimed that Lucius kept his name high, many people said to be perplexed, and claimed that much of the success was due to the sensation of novelty, rather than quality of recipes.
The gossips also claim that part of Lucius' big sales numbers also derive from many animalists who bought the book, only to show in streaming that they canceled it.
Beyond the controversial contents, Lucius' cookbook is very well made technically, since not only are the recipes written in a clear and simple way, but each of them is also accompanied by an anecdote that explains how the idea of the recipe came to him. In addition to this, for each recipe there is a video that clearly shows the steps required to make the recipe, showing the most complex passages thanks to multiple angles.
