Dr Viktra Mordenheim
In the annals of Rondo's history, amidst the After Wishful Wars (AWW) period, there exists a name that strikes fear into the hearts of those who hear it whispered in the shadows: Dr. Viktra Mordenheim, the Mad Surgeon. Born of brilliance and consumed by obsession, her tale is one of unbridled ambition and scientific perversion.
Dr. Viktra Mordenheim, residing in Trivin, is renowned for her chilling disregard for the sanctity of life. Her lack of empathy is immediately apparent to any who meet her, her eyes cold and devoid of compassion. She views people as mere collections of neurons and meat, and her sense of superiority knows no bounds.
From a young age, Dr. Mordenheim was obsessed with the complexities of humanoid anatomy. Despite her brilliance, she lacked empathy and compassion, viewing her patients as little more than subjects for her experiments. Her relentless pursuit of scientific perfection led her to seek immortality not through magic, but through the unfathomable secrets of science.
Driven by a burning intellectual curiosity, Dr. Mordenheim became convinced that she could defeat death itself. She delved into the darkest corners of science, employing Body Snatcher and gravediggers to procure specimens for her twisted experiments. Her ultimate goal: to create sturdier shells for the fragile mortal form, ones that could withstand the ravages of time.
It was during this tumultuous time that Dr. Mordenheim met Elise, a beautiful but reckless body snatcher from Trivin. She was charmed by the doctor's aloofness and whose spontaneity entranced the methodical surgeon.
When Elise began showing signs of an incurable wasting disease, it was the first time either woman had felt the pangs of despair. In the months that followed, Dr. Mordenheim desperately hastened her experiments, employing anyone who would bring her bodies—both newly dead and still living. On her operating table, victims were killed, returned to life, and died again as Mordenheim sought to glimpse the secrets hidden in the instant of death. She created the doctor's masterpiece, the end to disease and death: an artificial organ Mordenheim called the Unbreakable Heart.
Dr. Mordenheim's masterpiece was the creation of an artificial organ she called the Unbreakable Heart, a miraculous device capable of bestowing immortality upon its bearer. Yet, before she could utilize it, the heart vanished from her laboratory under mysterious circumstances, leaving her with naught but a burning desire for vengeance suspecting rumours of a tortle artificer that was reportedly nearby.
One moonless night, Elise fell into a sleep from which she wouldn't wake. Bringing Elise to her lab, Dr. Mordenheim worked feverishly for days to save her, pouring what she'd learned from a thousand deaths into saving one life. But as she was preforming the surgery hampered by her missing unbreakable heart, Guards burst into the lab and accused the doctor of facilitating numerous murders. As Dr. Mordenheim struggled against arrest, smoking chemicals and arcing electricity filled the laboratory. Before she lost consciousness, she saw mists encompass the room.
Viktra awoke in the shadow lands ruled by dark lord whispered shadows, he had a warforged called neuron there which had an unbreakable heart that looked the remarkable same as hers, she finished her surgery “saving” elise, she swore to serve under him sacrificing her freedom in exchange for the chance to continue her research into defeating death.
Now, in modern times, Dr. Mordenheim has emerged from the shadow lands to conduct her experiments in the secluded retreat known as Blood Retreat. Cloaked in bloodstained lab wear, she uses her scientific genius to pursue and pervert the secrets of life, her every move guided by a singular purpose: to recreate the miracle of the Unbreakable Heart and achieve immortality once and for all.
