Culture and Cultural Heritage

The Goliaths have a ritual dance they perform often before battle, espacily between two different goliath clans, it depends upon the clan on the specific moves but the primary intent is to intimidate their foes into surrendering, with sharp sudden motions wide open eyes and fierce facial expressions. Goliaths don't often kill outright more like to take the looser as a subservient role depending on the seriousness of the fight, a bar fight would have the looser buy drinks for the night, an honour dual for a partner would end in a betrothal with the winner often with the loser, in times of war the losing tribe or nation became a subservient tribe, often a vessel othertimes slaves like what happened with the tabaxi failed war against the Baulder Boss clan the dominate clan at the time now the nation that most Goliath's swear alliance too.
There are often contests of strength between goliaths and others they respect to determine certain activities such as who's on watch, who has to sharpen the spears or inform the boss of bad news, but in times of war goliaths dominate, if they must fight they do it they do it whole heartily and are relentless.
If a warrior bring shame or cannot continue to do their duty, they were often put down, nowadays with the modern invention of potions and medical supplies only traditional clans still enforce this and if there are no supplies or magics available some modern clan will as well.
An adaptation from orcish tradition of "Marnuk" or Challenge is one where a warrior challenges a respected warrior or leader to a physical fight often a full contact spar to domination. Respect is derived from the outcome and shows of strength from the fight, so a good showing of fighting sprit from the loser fighting a strong champion earns themselves much honour and respect even if they lost. Whereas cheating or disrespecting an opponent brings dishonour upon the Goliath and can lead to ostracisation.
