Infinite library

The Infinite Library is a vast repository of knowledge, said to be the largest in the multiverse. It contains knowledge from every known civilization and beyond, far exceeding the mass of all the Wildspace systems combined. The origins of the Infinite Library are shrouded in mystery, with the earliest records showing it already being vast and well-established. The librarians who work in the Infinite Library are mostly scholars and former spelljammers who have dedicated their lives to the study of the knowledge within its walls. They are a secretive and reclusive group, guarding the knowledge of the library jealously and allowing only a select few to access its riches.
To gain a library card and access to the Infinite Library, one must donate a book to the collection. The book must be a proper book, but need not be a formal one - a journal or other personal document would suffice. However, scraps of paper or other incomplete works are not acceptable.
Once granted a library card, a visitor may take out one book at a time but must return it before the end of their life. There are rumours of what happens to those who fail to return their borrowed books, with tales of souls being trapped in Wildspace hell dimensions.
To join the Infinite Library as a librarian, one must bring a vast amount of new knowledge to the collection. This could be information from unexplored systems or lost knowledge that has been newly documented. No former librarians are known to exist, despite the long operating history of the library. Overall, the Infinite Library is a mysterious and formidable institution, dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and the safeguarding of its secrets.
