the Mother of all Magic, was a greater deity of all magic, something happened during the Great Calamity which greatly impacted her and she has never really recovered, no greater magic has been performed since the Great Calamity and high levels are rare still, in the aftermath of the Great calamity her influence fluctuated treating some mages more power then they could handle or revoked her blessing upon them cause much magical blood to be spilt.
