Prayer of Battle

Often said in sermons amongst the Devoted prior to battle, this prayer has long served our ilk and kin. It is unclear when and where the restriction of the last verse to Adorned began but it has lasted centuries untold. Perhaps it was thought by our predecessors that only the Adorned may bestow the blessing of The Enduring One, only Ilmater himself knows the truth of the matter.

Take in the pain I am soon intending to deal, while I remove the source of the suffering!

Push through the ordeals of life, as there will be much benefit in the future!

Crying God, may your tears and empathy heal the person before me!
