Vidal
Vidal and the Creation of Neuron
In the ancient annals of Rondo's history, amidst the tumultuous aftermath of the Wishful Wars, there existed a legendary artificer whose brilliance surpassed even the most esteemed of his peers. His name was Vidal, and his tale is one of ingenuity, ambition, and ultimately, mystery. Vidal hailed from the region now known as the Sunken Banks, once known as the Deep Depths in the ancient days. He was a prodigy among prodigies, a genius whose mastery of artifice knew no bounds. While most artificers could boast of creating one masterpiece in their lifetime, Vidal was an exception to this rule, crafting not one, but four masterpieces, according to legend. Among Vidal's legendary creations stood Neuron, a marvel of artifice that defied comprehension. Neuron was said to be one of the first constructs ever made, or perhaps even the first warforged, predating the Cambrion family by centuries. Comprised of four masterpieces, Neuron was a testament to Vidal's unparalleled skill as an artificer. Vidal's masterpieces for Neuron included the Unbreakable Heart, an pinnacle of artifice that supplied her with immortality. Additionally, he crafted an Arcane Power Core to power her, imbued with magical circuitry capable of conducting impossible amounts of magical power. Her neural processor, rumored to be based on the designs of the enigmatic Mechalitch, granted her true sentience and a soul. Despite his legendary status, details of Vidal's life are sparse. It is said that he completed Neuron towards the end of his life, and during his lifetime, he was only with her for a short time before his final battle. Despite his egotism, Vidal was hailed as a hero, purportedly defeating ancient monsters of the deep and abominations from eldritch encounters lurking beneath the surface. Yet, Vidal's greatest challenge lay in his journey into the mists, into the Shadowlands, the realm of the dark lord Whispered Shadows. It was there that Vidal ventured, seeking unknown knowledge or perhaps facing a destiny foretold. Whatever transpired in the Shadowlands remains shrouded in mystery, for Vidal was never seen nor heard from again.Over the years, rumors have persisted of a warforged resembling Neuron, calling herself Dark Neuron, as well as whispers of a Mechalitch tortle. Yet, these tales are likely nothing more than echoes of a bygone era, shadows cast by the legacy of a legendary artificer whose fate remains unknown.
